Securely Accessing An XP Home or Vista PC using Remote-Office



    To install Remote-Office on the PC that you wish to remotely control please take the following steps:

  1. Do not start untill you have received an email from remote-offce.co.nz containing your account details.
  2. Download and run this file. This will install Remote-Office on the PC.
  3. Enter and account number and admin password when prompted to complete the installation.


    To use a Windows PC* to take control of Remote PC please take the following steps:
  1. Open a web browser at this page.
  2. Enter your account number and client password.
  3. Click the download button and save the file on your PC Desktop.
  4. Run the file, enter your admin password and click 'Connect'.
  5. Within 2 minutes a window should appear prompting you to take control of the remote PC.
  6. Do not use this option unless you are sure that the PC is secure and virus free.
  7. If you are not certain the PC you are using is secure and virus free do the following:

    • Carry out steps 1,2 and 3 on the PC you wish to control.
    • save the file you download onto a USB pen drive or writable CD.
    • Insert the USB drive/CD in the unsecure PC.
    • Use 'My Computer to locate the program on the USB/CD and run it.
    • Continue with steps 4,5 and 6 above.
    We strongly recommend that you use an up to date antivirus program and spyware detection program on both:

  1. The PC you want to remotely control and
  2. The PC that you will use to control the remote PC

    *Any PC running a version of Microsoft Windows that is currently supported by Microsoft will work.
